Honest quantitative sports analytics
We publish picks only when the research says the edge is real, and we show you our work.
What BetQuant is
BetQuant is a quantitative sports data analytics tool. We train machine-learning models on a decade-plus of historical data for three specific markets — Soccer Draw, UFC favorites, and Boxing favorites — and publish picks that our research identifies as statistically significant edges.
We are a data and research operation, not a sportsbook, not a financial advisor, and not a gambling operator. We do not accept wagers, hold funds, or handle real-money transactions on sporting events. Every pick we publish is a probabilistic model output, not a recommendation.
Why it exists
Sports markets are priced more efficiently than ever, but specific corners remain inefficient in ways that survive walk-forward testing. The classic tipster site reports numbers that do not survive out-of-sample validation, and free-tier “AI picks” services typically run on three months of history with no permutation testing. We wanted to build the opposite: a narrow, honest edge that is provably stable across years, stated in numbers users can verify, with the failure modes disclosed up front.
Everything about the site — the live ledger, the backtest numbers, the methodology, the research limitations — is designed to let a sceptical reader sanity-check the claim before paying us anything.
What we publish
The Track Record page has two clearly separated sections. The top is the live ledger — every pick we publish goes in, wins or losses included, and aggregate stats do not render until we have at least 30 settled picks (so a small early streak cannot produce misleading numbers). The bottom is the walk-forward backtest: 738 picks across 2013–2025 with weighted win rate 56.3% and flat ROI 17.5%, per-sport and permutation-significant.
The Methodology page documents what each model uses, what we validated it on, and what we deliberately rejected because it did not survive out-of-sample testing.
What we will not do
We will not promise or imply that picks are “guaranteed.” They are not, and no model ever will be.
We will not add features that look compelling but are not supported by the research — for example, retrofitting new leagues or sports without running the same walk-forward + permutation pipeline we use on the core three.
We will not sell your personal data or inject third-party ad/tracking pixels into the site. See the Privacy Policy for the short list of sub-processors we do rely on.
